Meet the cast of Last Christmas

Next up is Katie Bowie.

Katie plays Carol, one of the ghosts who haunt Fortune Cottage every Christmas. Carol died in 1984 when the most popular Christmas present was a Transformer but all she wants this year is what she’s wanted every year since she died – to find out who murdered her!

This year there’s a chance her Christmas wish will be granted but there’ll be many more surprises before the truth is finally revealed…

Meet the cast of Last Christmas

Next up is Deborah Hugill.

Deborah plays Irene, one of the ghosts who haunt Fortune Cottage every Christmas. Irene died in 1978 when the most popular Christmas present was Hungry Hippos but all she wants this year is to watch The Sound of Music (again) and to enjoy the newly decorated house.

However, although the interior decoration of Fortune Cottage might have brightened up the secrets and lies have definitely got darker…

With echoes of BBC’s ‘Ghosts’ and the intrigue of an Agatha Christie mystery, this brand-new comedy is packed with twists, revelations and plenty of laughs.

Meet the cast of Last Christmas

First up is Richard Broadley.

Richard plays Derek, one of the ghosts who haunt Fortune Cottage every Christmas. Derek died in 1995 when the most popular Christmas present was a Playstation but all he wants this year is the opportunity to experience a turkey dinner and all the trimmings – even if, as a ghost, he can’t actually eat anything.

However, this year there’s much more going on at Fortune Cottage than just a festive lunch…

We went for Gold!

Our contribution to the Forum at Fifty performance, Going For Gold, went splendidly as did the whole show. It was very well received and almost sold out, so hopefully it has made a nice profit to go towards the replacement seating.

Many thanks to all involved in organising what was a great show and a lovely event to be part of!

Rehearsals begin!

We’ve started rehearsals for The Mirror Crack’d and everything is going well. We’ll post some photos here soon - but no spoilers obviously!

Autumn production revealed!

We are very excited to announce that our autumn production will be The Mirror Crack’d by Agatha Christie, in an innovative new adaptation by Rachel Wagstaff.

It is 1962 and St Mary Mead has been thrown into a frenzy by the news that a glamorous American film star has bought the local manor house. Miss Marple is confined to her chair after an accident but, when there is a vicious murder, she must unravel a web of lies, tragedy and danger.

This classic whodunnit by the Queen of Crime has all the brilliant characters and twists and turns you would expect and a good dose of humour too! Come along and see if you can solve the crime before there are more murders…

“A satisfying blend of wit, drama and intrigue…a modern take on a crime classic…contemporary and fresh!”

21, 22 and 23 November 2024 at the Forum Northallerton.
